LORAIN COUNTY RECORDER
Mike Doran
SPECIAL NOTICE
Our vendor is currently experiencing technical difficulties with our record search system. They are working as quickly as possible to resolve this issue.
On January 16th Cott Systems turned on our recording software and internal search and we have caught up on all recordings that came across the counter and electronically during the outage. Currently, we are going through the indexing/validating process of those documents and recording all current documents in real-time and we can search all documents internally.
Unfortunately, the external search site has been up and down with no firm date of when they will turn it back on permanently. We will continue doing everything we can to help searchers. Currently, we are trying to acquire more licenses from Cott for internal search capabilities on all of the kiosks in our public search area. This will take our current number of computers with internal search capabilities from one to seven. And we will look to set up more after-hour access with these computers if needed.
We apologize for the inconvenience and will update this message as soon as the search system is back up permanently.
