The Lorain County Recorder is committed to providing easy access of records to the public. To achieve this, we utilize a public record database which allows you to search by name, by parcel number, and by date. Read the instructions below, then click the "Start Your Search" button to get started.

here's how to do it:

Login/Account Creation

Click the "Start Your Property Search Button" to be redirected to the Search Portal. You will either log in to an existing account, or be prompted to create a new account. If you forget your password, you can reset it from the login page using your sign up email.

Search Properties by name

All property searches start at "Name Search" by default. Just enter the legal last and first name, then click "Detail Search" to show the results.

search properties by parcel number

In the top red bar, choose "Advanced Search." Clear any input from the name fields. in the Parcel field, type or paste your parcel number, removing all dashes. Then click "Detail Search."

View/print Documents

Select the record you wish to print; click "Instrument" to view the image of the document. You can now save or directly print the document.
